Your tour of this spectacular ancient site is over as the late afternoon shadow fills the ruins doorways and windows. They close the ruin at dusk out of reverence for the dead and out of respect for the beliefs of the Hopi, who claim to be decended from the people who once inhabited this ruin. You climb back down the ladder and hike back to the campground to set up camp. |
